The British Beauty Council is delighted to welcome Shark Beauty as its newest patron, strengthening a shared commitment to innovation, growth and the future success of the UK beauty industry.
As one of the fastest-growing names in beauty technology, Shark Beauty has transformed the category since entering the market, bringing engineering-led innovation and professional-quality results into consumers’ homes. Through its patronage, the brand will work alongside the British Beauty Council, industry leaders and policymakers to help champion the sector’s economic contribution and drive innovation across the beauty landscape.
Part of global product design and technology company SharkNinja, Shark Beauty has built a reputation for disrupting traditional beauty categories through breakthrough technology and consumer-focused product development. Its EMEA engineering and product development hub, based at Battersea Power Station, spans more than 30,000 square feet and houses advanced testing facilities, laboratories and prototype workshops, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to research, development and innovation.
As a patron, Shark Beauty will bring valuable insight into consumer behaviour, technological advancement and international growth. Millie Kendall OBE, Chief Executive of the British Beauty Council, says, ‘We are delighted to welcome Shark Beauty as a patron of the British Beauty Council. The brand has quickly established itself as a leader in beauty technology, bringing a fresh perspective and innovative approach to the sector. We look forward to working together to support the continued growth, influence and success of the UK beauty industry.’
The partnership comes at a significant moment for Shark Beauty as it continues to expand its presence across the beauty technology sector. Since launching its first hair drying innovation in 2021, the brand has broadened its offering with hot air styling tools, followed by its move into skincare technology with the launch of the bestselling CryoGlow LED Mask in 2025. Now, five years into its beauty journey, Shark Beauty is entering a new phase of growth, with further innovation and category expansion planned in the second half of 2026 and beyond..
‘The most powerful beauty brands don’t just launch products — they spark conversations’
‘The most powerful beauty brands don’t just launch products — they spark conversations, create communities and generate social demand at scale. That’s what Shark Beauty does,’ says Lana Sanleandro, SVP CMO EMEA at Shark Beauty. ‘By combining breakthrough innovation with the influence of creators and consumers, we’ve turned beauty technology into some of the industry’s most talked-about products. We’re proud to partner with the British Beauty Council to help shape the future of beauty in one of the world’s most influential markets.’
The UK beauty industry contributed £28.4 billion to the economy (2024 data), supporting millions of livelihoods across the country. Partnerships such as this play an important role in supporting the sector and ensuring it remains innovative and attractive to the next generation of talent.
We are excited to welcome Shark Beauty to our community of Patrons and look forward to working together to help shape a thriving future for the beauty industry.
