Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Committee

Champions diversity, equity and accessibility for a more representative and inclusive beauty industry, Areas of focus include removing barriers and advancing progression within disability and visible differences, neurodivergence, hair equity and career progression.

‘The beauty industry is, by nature, built on visibility. What we see shapes what we believe is beautiful, acceptable, aspirational. That makes representation incredibly important – but also incredibly complex. At the British Beauty Council, our work spans Hair Equity, Career Progression, Neurodivergence and Disability and Visible Differences.’

Also prompted by the desire to inspire and activate those working in the ‘hidden corners’ of our multi-faceted communities across the UK, whilst also highlighting the personal experiences of professionals within the field.
