Black Skin Directory is an award-winning pioneering platform that connects people of colour to qualified professionals experienced in treating darker skin tones, suitable cosmeceutical solutions as well as educational content and events.
Due to increasing demand from the professional community, Black Skin Directory are proud to introduce a training and development arm focused on up-skilling the modern practitioner and enhancing their confidence in addressing the aesthetic and cosmetic concerns of their clients of colour.
“Research and feedback over the last eighteen months shows that specialist guidance in skin of colour is highly desired by today’s cosmetic practitioner. It is an area that is often overlooked during mainstream cosmetic and aesthetic education, but in a diverse world with increased global mobility we feel there is a clear need for further training to support and increase the confidence of practitioners whilst ensuring the skin of colour demographic is safely serviced.” Dija Ayodele, Founder of Black Skin Directory and British Beauty Council Advisory Board member.
The Black Skin Directory CPD accredited training workshops will cover assessing and treating skin of colour, physiology and anatomy considerations, cultural concerns and the psychology behind cosmetic choices, managing aesthetic complications in darker skin tones and selecting optimum treatments and ingredients for skin of colour.
Delivered by an internationally recognised faculty, the sessions will end with round table question and answer discussions.
