Amly journey By Kerry Moore

by | Jun 11, 2018

My journey to launching a skincare brand has perhaps not been a traditional one.

I originally planned to be a doctor, then after a (very) brief modelling diversion I trained as a facialist?!

After having children and reconnecting with my love of medicine/wellbeing I decided to explore Holistic medicine, firstly Homeopathy then CranioSacral Therapy. I practiced from an incredible London clinic then began my own practice, I taught, mentored & refined my understanding of health & wellbeing.

My love of skincare remained, evolving into an appreciation of more ‘natural’ green brands, integrating this into advise given to clients to help support their healing process, being mindful of what they used on their skin & how it made them feel.

This, with perfect synchronicity at a time when Lisa (other half of Amly) moved to her organic farm & discovered their beautiful water, from there things literally flowed into place.

This now feels like the most natural role, all my previous experience seeming to come together to inform our vision for Amly, alongside the wealth of knowledge coming from Lisa’s connection to the land.

Paths to being a brand owner can take many routes. My advice to anyone on that journey would be to enjoy & absorb everything along the way. There may be false starts, seemingly complete disasters but in retrospect, divine interventions, you meet great people & filter out the not so great. Remember what inspired you & stick to it, if you are copied keep firm, only means you are on the right path.
