Policy & Influence

About the British Beauty Council

The British Beauty Council represents the hair, beauty and wellness sectors, communicating the multi-faceted and multi-dimensional role they play both socially and economically to challenge and eradicate the dated, linear perception of our industry.

The beauty industry’s sponsor government department within the UK Government is the Department for Business, Enterprise and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) with whom the BBCo communicates on a weekly basis.

It uses the significant breadth of knowledge and expertise of its Advisory Board and Patrons to educate and influence decision makers, ensuring those in our sector are given opportunities to build successful, sustainable businesses, in the UK and globally, rich with reputable and diverse talent.
