The British Beauty Council

by | Sep 3, 2018

Four of the top 10 high street start up businesses in the UK are beauty related – barbers shops, nail clinics, beauty salons and hair/beauty salons, with a density of these businesses in the north east, south east and London. The British Beauty Council was set up to give all of the people in all of these businesses & every other business in beauty a voice at govt level – a much needed & deserved voice for an industry said to deliver some £17b to the UK economy. The first thing we intend to do is identify exactly how valuable beauty is to this country in the way it contributes financially and with labour. No one has ever done that before. Really. It’s high time, right? Sign up to hear updates and encourage your beauty colleagues to join/follow too. The BBC is determined that beauty will be recognised inclusively for its true value to the UK, and we need your support.
