The British Beauty Council champions the growth of the beauty industry via investment, innovation and technology. From advanced manufacturing techniques to its potential to boost investment in female-founded businesses, the British beauty industry is unique in its growth potential.

The Council offers a range of educational resources, investment opportunities to aid UK brands and businesses. It also engages with brands, policy makers and other stakeholders, to propel development of the industry to ensure it remains at the cutting edge of British business.

Co-Founder and Director of Strategy, Invinci Group

 

Renee leads the strategic advisory practice for premium brands and investors shaping their global Amazon and marketplace strategies. Prior to Invinci, Renee led Amazon UK’s Premium Beauty business for four years where she drove business development, category strategy and top pan-EU vendor performance.

Renee is an Operating Partner at the beauty-focused European Private Equity Fund, Cedar Bridge. She is active in the start-up community as an angel investor and advisor, focused on female and underrepresented founders, and serves a range of start-ups as a Huckletree Ambassador. She holds her Diploma in Cosmetic Science from the UK Society of Cosmetic Scientists, of which she is an active member. She is frequently featured as a keynote speaker and panellist (INNOCOS, IMF, Amazon Beauty x British Vogue, Beauty Tech London, Beauty Matter, Professional Beauty London, D2C Live, etc) and has served as a Special Jurist for Cosmoprof Bologna Awards. Renee was identified as a Top 100 Female Entrepreneur to Watch in 2022 by The Telegraph.

Renee earned her MBA in Finance from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Before joining the beauty industry, Renee pursued a decade-long career in impact investing and emerging markets sales and trading at J.P. Morgan, New York, and Deutsche Bank, London.

 

Venrex BBCO I – Investment fund 

Are you a brand or business looking for investment? The British Beauty Council is pleased to be collaborating with London and New York-based venture capital firm Venrex on a fund designed to back extraordinary and ambitious founders.

Venrex has previously backed beauty businesses including Charlotte Tilbury, Lisa Eldridge, VIEVE, Get The Gloss and Frog Stack. 

The fund, Venrex BBCo I, is designed to back brands set to characterise the future of the beauty industry. It has the potential to support the next problem-solving cosmetic product, supply chain time-saver, or planet-friendly packaging solution. At the pre-seed to series A stage, investment is focused on founders building high-growth potential businesses backed by unique drive and vision.
