by | Feb 6, 2022

The Government has released its ‘Levelling Up Plan’ with 12 key missions to spread opportunity and prosperity to all parts of the UK.

These include commitments to:

  • increase pay, employment and productivity in every area of the UK
  • increase investment in UK research & development projects by 40% outside the Greater South East
  • increase the number of people completing high-quality skills training in every area of the UK to 200,000 per year
  • improve well-being in every area of the UK

The Government has committed to achieving these by 2030.

The British Beauty Council is working with Government on delivering its ‘Levelling Up Plan’, focussing on the commitments set out in its 2022 Roadmap around ‘Growth’ within the hair, beauty and wellness sector.
