Prime Minister Boris Johnson outlined today what the Government’s three-tier lockdown system will mean for different industries within England.

The Prime Minister’s full statement is here.

During the announcement today, Boris Johnson said that the decision as to whether Personal Care is shut down in a Tier-3 lockdown area will be decided in consultation with local governments, we believe this to mean on a case by case basis

Personal Care includes the following sectors:

  • Hair salons and barbers, including mobile hair businesses
  • Spas
  • Nail bars and salons and beauty salons
  • Tanning booths and salons
  • Massage parlours
  • Tattoo parlours
  • Body and skin piercing services

For anyone concerned about their local area, please use our template (which can be found here) to ensure local government and MPs are aware how safe hair and beauty services are.
