Appeal for Hair and Beauty to be exempt from Tier 3 local lockdown closures

by | Oct 10, 2020

If you have read the news these past few days you will be aware that the government will be announcing new measures on Monday regarding tiered lockdown rules in local areas.

We urge you to now lobby your local MPs to ensure that the hair and beauty industry remains open. We have been categorized throughout Covid as non-essential retail and not hospitality, so we hope that the new rules indicating a closure in Tier 3 does not implicate our businesses.

However, we attach a template that you can adapt accordingly to send to your local MPs. Find you local MP here.

This is extremely important and we will ensure we do all we can with regards to communication with government and also media outreach to campaign for our livelihoods. Please note that there is nothing yet confirmed about whether we will be included in Tier 3, but we feel that as a Covid secure industry who has not had any sector specific financial support we should now lobby to prevent any further impact.
