We spoke with Noella Gabriel, Global President & Co-Founder of ELEMIS, to find out more about the brand, to discover what excites them about the beauty industry, and to explore why they wanted to become a Patron.

What excites you about the British beauty industry?
The British beauty industry, like ELEMIS, never stands still. Our industry is very entrepreneurial, creative and passionate, pushing the boundaries and continuously evolving for the good of all our communities. The industry has had to constantly evolve and learn how to adapt to the fast pace of our ever-changing world, especially with the digital revolution of e-commerce, shopping TV and social selling.Â

Most importantly, the drive on sustainability and CSR is critical for the future of the beauty industry who are uniting and collaborating with a sense of urgency that can really make a difference. Recently, Sean Harrington, ELEMIS’ CEO mandated this to be a key driver at board level and appointed Oriele Frank to lead this important initiative and spearhead change throughout the business, focusing on key priorities and targets linked to biodiversity, climate and people.Â
Product and treatment innovation continue to be the driving force behind this industry, which excites us daily as we search for unique ingredients, different textures and products that really perform, with clinically proven results. It’s great to see so many British beauty brands; both start-ups and heritage brands, leading the way in the industry. We value the relentless work that the British Beauty Council has done and is doing to support the industry, publishing some truly informative papers to inform the industry.Â
They were integral in helping the industry navigate through the pandemic, especially the professional therapists, spas and salons that have suffered hugely during this time. They united the industry and spearheaded that all important voice in the political, economic, and social sectors, helping activate the powerful Beauty Backed campaign.Â
In addition, their drive on sustainability, diversity & inclusion in the industry is to be admired and is exciting. They are an expert group of industry influencers that are bold, brave and make things happen.
