#BeCrueltyFree initiative to ban animal testing in cosmetics

by | Dec 18, 2018

Uniliver has announced its support for Humane Society International’s #BeCrueltyFree initiative to ban animal testing in cosmetics.

Together they will campaign for regulatory acceptance of modern, non-animal testing methods, which they hope to achieve by 2023 in 50 major beauty markets, including Asia.

Unilever also plan to invest in training future safety scientists for non-animal testing risk assessment, and their body and hair care brand Dove has recently received accreditation from PETA as a cruelty-free brand.
