Avon Introduces Lisa Armstrong Make-up

by | Sep 18, 2020

British Beauty Council Patron, Avon, has joined forces with one of the Strictly’s make-up artists, Lisa Armstrong, to create an entirely-new colour cosmetics brand which they hope to become the ultimate capsule make-up collection.

This collection has been two years in the making and is all designed and curated by Lisa. Who shares Avon’s mission to democratise beauty for all women by making premium-quality beauty available to everyone. As a result, she has created her dream line-up of products.

“I love products – and I try everything going,” says Lisa. “But in the end, I always gravitate back to a group of ‘go-to’ products that really work. With this collection, I was inspired by the idea of taking everything I’ve learned over the years and creating my ultimate wardrobe of incredible products. Honestly, it’s every make-up artist’s dream.”

For Lisa, the choice to enter into her first commercial beauty partnership with Avon couldn’t have been easier. After graduating over twenty years ago, Avon was the brand that booked Lisa for her first professional job. Now, launching this collection with them, she feels her career “has come full circle.”

Lisa has been heavily involved in every part of the process, travelling to the labs to work on formulations, and bringing her meticulous eye for detail to the design of every product. Resulting in features from the weighted eyeliners to help with balance, to just the right nib shape for a brow pencil, to the foundation pump and the feel of the compacts in your hand.

The collection includes everything Lisa would use to do her own make-up: starting with a moisturising primer, and working right through from concealer and highlighter to bronzer, brows and setting powder. There are thirteen products in total, allowing you to create a full-face look or a 60-second eye look.

There are also personal touches on the products. Each of the twelve lipliners is named after one of Lisa’s closest girlfriends, while the matching lipsticks go by the same friend’s nickname. As well as the lipsticks, Lisa’s favourites in the range include the Dazzle Stick Eye Pencils and the Gleam Supreme Highlighter.

Avon and Lisa share their belief in make-up’s power to give confidence to everyone and their passionate support for “women doing their thing.” This launch comes at an exciting time for the brand, which is undergoing a major relaunch, taking a more dynamic and activist approach that will bring to life its missions of self-improvement and independence through beauty. Since the start of COVID, Avon has seen a 114% surge in the number of new representatives joining the UK business. Given that analysts predict that the economic impacts would be “disproportionately felt by women,” there has never been a more prevalent time to help Representatives and customers alike feel enabled and inspired to work in beauty.

The collection packaging is a cool feminine pink with metallic highlights and its hoped to redefine pro beauty for a new era of real beauty.

“There’s no trickery or fakery here,” says Lisa. “It’s my signature on the packaging, it’s my work on the models in the pictures, and it’s my take on what great products should look and feel like. It’s a project that’s come from my heart.”

Lisa Armstrong Make-up is available exclusively at Avon. Shop online here or through the Digital Brochure now. The collection will be available to shop through Avon’s print brochure from October 2020.
