#OhHelloBeauty campaign

Help us bring beauty back into people’s lives! Our #OhHelloBeauty campaign encourages people to return to hair and beauty salons – and help get high street and city centre businesses back on their feet.

Bring Back Beauty

The British Beauty Council has launched six inspirational short biographical films to highlight how hairdressing and beauty salons are essential to people’s health and wellbeing within communities across the UK.

From the Friday ladies who have visited the same salon every Friday for 30 years, to Tabia who couldn’t look in the mirror because she was unable to get the ‘miracle’ facial treatment that had transformed her life, the films capture the essence of what going to a salon really means.

How to get involved

The ‘Bring Back Beauty’ films, as part of the Oh Hello Beauty campaign, have been created in recognition of the seismic impact the hair, beauty and wellness industries have on the client, the practitioner, and the communities they serve.

We want to hear from you about your Local Beauty Heroes, and why they are so special to you and your community.

Perhaps your nail technician has supported you through a big life event, or your hairdresser has served the community for more than 20 years, or your massage therapist offers the safe space you need to relax and unwind after a busy week.

Whatever the reason, we would love to hear from you.

Simply tag @britishbeautycouncil, #LocalBeautyHero and #OhHelloBeauty on social media, and we will share as many inspiring and uplifting stories as we can.

If you want to feature the films on your website, please email joinme@britishbeautycouncil.com and we will email them to you.

Let’s show our much loved hair, beauty and wellness professionals just how much they mean to us.
