L’Occitane have announced their acquisition of Elemis for $900m with the aim of bolstering their growth globally and plans to take Elemis into new markets.

Bloomberg report that with the purchase, L’Occitane – which already operates in 90 countries with 3,285 retail outlets – is set to reach its €1.7b sales target in the next two years, and that the company may look to launch new products dedicated to the US, China and Hong Kong markets, which are driving revenue growth during a slowdown in Europe.
