Inspired during lockdown to embrace community and education in the creative industry the world-renowned make-up artist and best-selling author Lan Nguyen-Grealis decided to launch the Power Of Make Up podcast.
In this series, Lan takes you through her little black book of leading UK fashion and beauty industry contacts to inspire and unite others.
From former pop star Kimberly Wyatt and husband Max Rogers, celebrity stylist Karl Willett, hairdresser’s Errol Douglas and Cos Sakkas to make-up artists Ruby Hammer, Daniel Sandler and Phylliss Cohen the guests delve into their inspiration, explore how make-up has transformed their lives, discuss key collaborations, the secrets to longevity and how they have worked to tackle inclusivity and diversity head on.
The series launches with model and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon April 1st 2021, as she discusses how self-care has always played such an important role for her mental wellbeing and why lockdown inspired a Sunday Instagram series on the subject. Lisa also discusses how make-up has had a huge impact on her life and as she goes through the menopause it’s important to talk openly about the reality women face.
Lan says, “During the pandemic I felt the need to do a podcast so I could share motivational insights from collaborators I’ve worked with who inspire me every day. I wanted to show the value of our relationships, so it could empower us to keep going.”
