Have you had your say to shape the future of the UK beauty industry? Join the conversation

The British Beauty Council is urging everyone to share their beauty experiences as its census enters the second phase

The British Beauty Council recently launched its campaign ‘A Beauty Industry That Looks Like You’ alongside Spring Studios. The Beauty Census, a survey to determine the true makeup of the industry has now been running for four weeks.

With another two months ahead, the investigation is set to uncover anecdotal evidence surrounding the equity, inclusion and accessibility of the beauty industry in the UK. This will aid the British Beauty Council in defining its political and regulatory lobbying initiatives across its next three year roadmap.

The Council is calling on brands, businesses and consumers to take part in, and share the survey, as it enters its second phase. With statistics rolling in from individuals who work in, and shop from, the sector, it’s time for beauty-lovers everywhere to join the conversation.

The Beauty Census will be vital for aiding the Council in creating a sector that ‘looks like everyone’. Something Kate MossBritish Beauty Council Ambassador and Cosmoss founder, is a keen supporter of:

‘Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most influential beauty professionals, including hairdressers and makeup artists. Most have come from diverse backgrounds and we must ensure that the same opportunity continues for future generations, everybody should have access.

‘Following its Beauty Census, the British Beauty Council will ensure that the industry is representative, accessible – something I am very passionate about.’

Those who complete the survey have the chance of winning a Sephora goody bag worth over £1000. This does not affect the data set and/or those who wish to remain anonymous.

Running until the end of July, findings from The Beauty Census will be analysed and collated into a report set to be revealed at British Beauty Week.

If you want to play an active role in future proofing the beauty sector for all, take the survey today and share it with your colleagues, friends, family and wider network.
