Million Dollar Facial System’s Jenna Unwin, spoke with the British Beauty Council about the brand, and why they wanted to support the British Beauty Council.

The Million Dollar Facial System was the vision of founder Jenna Unwin, an award-winning semi-permanent makeup artist and skincare technician. Identifying a gap in the market with training, and founded Dermaplane UK in 2016 and offered many courses including dermaplaning, skin needling, skin peels and semi-permanent makeup. Combining dermaplane and skin needling in a unique treatment protocol with specific products was where the Million Dollar Facial was born. The brand started with one treatment and now contains multiple protocols including the phenomenal immaculate peel collection and treatments to target both the face and body.

What areas of the British beauty industry excite you most?

What excites me the most about the beauty industry at the moment is seeing how fast and furiously it is growing. During times of Covid I feel that as an industry we gained a sense of unity. People came together to support each other and I feel that’s really stayed around and strengthened us as a sector. The beauty industry has massively been underestimated over the years and people didn’t realise its important role in people’s self-confidence and mental health. Covid definitely made people realise that they missed their regular beauty appointment’s. This has all had a positive impact on the beauty industry, giving it the recognition that it so truly deserves.

Why do you think that the British Beauty Council is so valuable for today’s beauty industry?

The British Beauty Council is so valuable to today’s beauty industry. It gives this sector a voice like nobody has ever done before. It unites us together which is so important right now. It is definitely helping to raise the reputation and standards amongst us, giving support and education whether you work as a mobile therapist or part of a huge team. This is why we are so proud to be a Patron.
