Purpose of the Hair Committee
The purpose of the Hair Committee is to:
- Represent the entire spectrum of the British hairdressing and barbering industry.
- Seek to influence the future of hairdressing in the UK.
- Help identify key issues for the British Beauty Council to tackle as part of its work with both Government and clients.
- Act on initiatives agreed by the British Beauty Council, in line with the Roadmap.

As a business-wise, commercially-aware journalist and publisher I have grown to love smaller, independent set ups. I’ve published the UK edition of Tribu-te Magazine (owned by Mike Vincent at Seven Publications) since 2005. In 2012 we launched the Tribu-te show in London which has evolved to be the Hair Pieces show where we also host The Big One trophy each year. In 2016, I launched Colour World – an annual gathering, website and TV platform. In other news, as a freelance writer, my commissions include in 2009 The Illustrated Guide to Professional Haircare & Hairstyles published by Southwater now in its 3rd edition.
