Decoded Future: a summit to empower change-makers

by | Jun 5, 2018

Innovation research and trends experts Stylus have announced an inaugural innovation summit, Decoded Future – the ultimate gathering for brands, retailers, tech companies and start ups – at Tobacco Dock on 26 June 2018.

Uniting and embracing entrepreneurialism and people driving change in beauty, fashion and lifestyle, Decoded Future will focus on sustainable future growth for these businesses and those looking to embrace change and transform business ecosystems and mentalities through innovation and tech.

Following an address from Marc Worth, CEO of Stylus, visitors will be able to hear a keynote presentation on Pioneering Innovation From Concept To Commercial from Daan Roosegaard, Artist & Innovator at Studio Roosegaarde, and a keynote panel – the Evolution Of The Consumer: Nowhere To Hide In 2018 – moderated by Hayley Ard, Head of Consumer Lifestyle at Stylus with input from Jo Jackson, Chief Creative Office of Made.com, Mark de Lange, Founder & CEO of Ace & Tate, Ben Stagg, Head of Client Management at Barclaycard, and Louise Troen, VP, International for Bumble.

Throughout the day there will be a roster of presentations and panels on topics around beauty, fashion and lifestyle – like designing agile ecosystems for a digital world, the power of ecomm and maxing digital opportunities, the future of influencer marketing and how Insta-influencers are driving culinary culture, the state of Asian beauty, how beauty breaks stereotypes, and how transformation has become the economy for the wellbeing business. British Beauty Council co-founder Anna-Marie Solowij is moderating a panel of speakers – including WAH Nails founder Sharmadean Reid MBE, Sarah Rotherham from Miller Harris and Birchbox UK’s Rachel Humphrey – to discuss how retail experiences and the rising beauty digerati will reinvent bricks and mortar.

Later in the day there will be further presentations, including fitting finale keynotes on how important sustainability, humanity and kindness have become to the consumer.

And all of this will be amplified throughout the day by stream breakouts on three stages – the Experience & Lifestyle stage, the Beauty & Wellness stage, and the Fashion & Luxury stage. There’s a small talks schedule with discussions on niche topics like the future of influencer marketing and the controversy over commercialising cannabis, and at the very end of the day there will be cocktails to indulge in.

Stylus have brought together an impeccable roster of speakers across beauty, fashion and wellbeing for this event. As well as their own experts you’ll be able to hear from luminaries like Skye Smith, Head of Creative & Content at Missguided, Ceanne Fernandes-Wong, CMO & VP, EMEA of Vestiaire Collective, Ellie Howard, Head of Brand Marketing of Heist Studios, Alexandra Scolding, Head of Buying for Face & Body at ASOS, and Tanya Hughes, Chief Global Officer at TALK.GLOBAL.

Decoded Future is the ultimate summit for our business, and those of fashion and lifestyle/wellbeing. It’s not about disruption (such an overused word), but action. It’s a new kind of gathering – one that deserves the attention of the super-achievers, the self-starters, the innovators, the brand-obsessives, the strategists, the forward-thinkers, the movers and shakers – you! If you work in these businesses, there is no better way to experience the future, prepare for change, future-proof yourself and your business, activate your inspiration and forge long-lasting connections. Decoded Future is about you.

We’ll post more on the speakers and discussion topics over the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
