Wellness trends to look out for in 2020

Google Trends have revealed the biggest wellness trends for 2020 and they show that we’re going to be looking increasingly towards technology and personal experiences to improve physical and mental wellbeing next year.

Some of the ways we’re going to be helping ourselves, Google reveal, are via Sound Bath Healing – bathing in sounds produced by instruments tuned to specific frequencies which can help you relax and release tension – which has shown a 285% increase in Google searches; virtual wellness, increased by 242% in Google searches, which allows us to increase fitness and wellness at home with interactive mirrors that showcase everything from yoga, boxing and barre.

Interactive wellbeing journals and meditation apps are also likely to be as integral to our lives as social media. Breathing apps, which coach breathing techniques to calm the mind, improve cognitive function and support energy, are also set to become more commonplace.

And wellness retreats – up 182% in Google searches – are set to grow and grow, offering techniques from yoga to meditation and silent stays to cater to increasingly stressful and full lives.
