The music industry campaign to mitigate the impact Brexit will have on their £4.4bn business

British Beauty Council understands that the music industry has started actively campaigning to mitigate the impact Brexit will have on their £4.4b* business.

In an open letter to the PM – drafted by Sir Bob Geldof – they say a botched Brexit will affect every area from touring to sales and copyright legislation to royalty collation, and this will have a devastating knock on revenue.

Beauty doesn’t have a campaign as such, but The Cosmetics Toiletries & Perfumer’s Association (CTPA) has created an excellent report on the possible impact of Britain leaving the EU on beauty, which you can read on their site. They summarise changes in distribution, IP & confidentiality agreements between partners, cost, administrative changes, legal and timing uncertainties.
