National Apprenticeship Week 2019

by | Mar 5, 2019

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW 2019) starts today as a government initiative to celebrate and promote the community of apprenticeships around the UK, and highlight the impact they have on people, employers and the wider economy.

This year’s theme is ‘Blazing a Trail’ and, as with other years, the week will see hundreds of pop up events take place across the country to guide and inform potential recruits. In beauty, apprenticeships can be done in therapy, barbering and hairdressing, and makeup artistry, and as well as gaining a diploma and other qualifications in these sectors, apprenticeships have equivalent educational levels – ie intermediate and level 2 are the equivalent of a GCSE. If you’re 16 or over, eligible to work in England and not in full time education, you qualify.
