Drapers Online have published an excellent update on the gender pay gap. The report gives a comprehensive breakdown on how fashion/beauty, accessory and footwear companies operating in the UK with more than 250 employees have performed on the government mandate for equitable pay. The data is available as a full list or in individual tables focused on value, mainstream and premium sectors. It makes for some eye opening reading, especially in its highlights of the companies with a 0% pay gap (ie men and women who receive the same pay), which could be a whole lot better: across larger UK businesses, the data provided by the Office For National Statistics shows that men are on average (mean) still paid 17.4% more than women.
