British Hairdressing Awards 2022: Meet the winners

by | Nov 29, 2022

On Monday 28 November, Hairdresser’s Journal and Schwarzkopf Professional announced the winners of the British Hairdressing Awards 2022. Here are the winners

After two consecutive virtual ceremonies, the British Hairdressing Awards 2022 returned to IRL with a bang. The celebration took place last night at London’s Marriott Hotel Park Lane to a 1300-strong crowd and was presented by comedian Katherine Ryan and British Beauty Council Advisory Board Member Jayne Lewis-Orr.

On the event, Lewis-Orr says: ‘One word is used time and again when referencing HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional: inspirational. The work produced for the awards inspires the industry, which in turn drives hairdressers across the country to push their skills, develop themselves professionally and strive to be the best they can be. The power and influence of the awards doesn’t just result in more creative hairdressers; it pushes the industry as a whole forward.’

Salon owners, journalists, and hair dressers all gathered to find out the winners of the 22 major annual awards. Between the big reveals, there were presentations from Schwarzkopf Professional experts, seven British Hairdresser of the Year nominees, and artist Professor Green.

From the Newcomer of the Year to the Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year, the awards touched every corner of industry, and the UK. The British Beauty Council would like to congratulate all of this year’s winners on their achievement.
