Shiseido Launches Sustainability Initiative

Shiseido have launched their global sustainability initiative Sustainable Beauty Actions (SBAS).

Global Cosmetics News reports that “The initiative will see the company implement a range of sustainability-focused activities and products to ‘create social value unique to the beauty industry.”.

At the global flagship in Tokyo, Shiseido have announced they will be installing a new refill service, named the Ultimune Fountain, as well as launching a new biodegradable lip palette, the AquaGel Lip Palette.

 

The initiative is based on their three pillars: Mottainai, Harmony and Empathy. Shieseido will focus on recycling as well as community-focused activities, as part of the Shiseido Blue Project launched last year.
