Earlier this week, the beauty industry gathered to celebrate CEW’s Achiever Awards. Hosted at Rosewood London, 11 awards were presented to those spearheading beauty’s development
From Achiever Awards to the Young Achiever accolade, the CEW Achiever Awards recognise outstanding talent and contributions to the beauty industry.
With previous winners including Sam McKnight, Terry de Gunzburg and Laura Mercier, the accolades spotlight those who have carved out unique careers in beauty, to pave the way for future generations.
And, the winners are:
2024 Achiever Awards:
Alice du Parcq – Award-Winning Fragrance Presenter, Expert and Content Creator
Amanda Morgan – Managing Director of Diptyque UK
Heela Yang – CEO & Co-Founder of Sol de Janeiro
Margaret Mitchell – Chief Commercial Officer at Space NK
Special Industry Award:
Simon Comins – Chief Commercial Officer at Superdrug, British Beauty Council Executive Board Member
Thierry Cheval – Country Managing Director, L’Oréal UK and Ireland
Special Recognition Award:
Vasiliki Petrou – CEW Chairwoman
Icon Award:
Sue Nabi – CEO, Coty Inc
Members’ Achiever Award:
Vesa Kalho – Head of Beauty Buying, Fenwick
Young Achiever:
Katy Cottam – CEO & Founder, Luna Daily
Estée Lauder Companies received an award for its Voice-enable Makeup Assistant which uses AI and AR to provide real-time audio feedback to guide users through their makeup routine. This is specifically designed to empower individuals with visual impairments to apply makeup independently.
Upon it’s launch in 2023, the British Beauty Council said: ‘Estée Lauder’s app is a wonderful example of how beauty brands can embrace technology to boost inclusivity and independence in the tech age to support people with sight loss, who may have been unable to access make-up before.’
