Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity. They are asking for your help this festive period to ensure that the young residents of Centrepoint’s hostels receive a fabulous gift.
Centrepoint are unable to conduct their usual ‘Christmas elf’ packing day, so are asking if any wonderful beauty, hair and wellness brands might be able to provide them with any kits or sets that could be gift-wrapped (by Centrepoint’s own team) as individual presents. They are looking for gifts for young women and young men, and trying to find at least 250 of each.

“The last 18 months have been difficult for everybody. However, throughout these challenging times most of us have had the comfort and security of our families to help us through. This was not the case for homeless young people living at Centrepoint who were isolated for long periods of time in hostel accommodation. Many were forced to give up their education and most who were working were let go as shops and restaurants closed. The pandemic took its toll on the mental health of young people and many are still receiving counselling from our health team.
Thankfully we appear to over the worst of the crisis, but the legacy remains for homeless young people whose lives were severely disrupted. This Christmas you can show a homeless young person that you do care and that they have not been forgotten. Any donations that you can offer would be greatly appreciated by young people who will be getting very little this Christmas. We know that it is a difficult time for businesses, but any donations would make a big difference to the life of a homeless young person.”
