The wellness space has become a cacophony of LED lights, IV drips, ‘super’ ingredients and more. Luckily, Francesca Ogiermann-White’s new event is set to cut through the noise.
Here, Tatler’s Health and Beauty Editor-at-Large, lets us in on what to expect at The Beauty Triangle Festival
Since 2019, The Beauty Triangle has brought together voices from across the aesthetics and wellness sectors to meet, discuss and share trusted advice about of-the-moment treatments. For the first time, the collective is hosting a day-long festival combining consultations, demonstrations and expert panel discussions.
Taking place on January 20, the event is designed to educate and inspire consumers at a time when wellness is at the forefront of their minds.
‘Never before have the worlds of medical aesthetics and alternative medicine come together in one place, to offer consumers a more holistic approach to their wellbeing,’ starts Francesca Ogiermann-White, founder of the platform, before delving into what consumers can expect from their ticket into the inner-workings of wellness.
‘The Beauty Triangle Festival is a natural evolution of our monthly wellness talks. The full-day agenda of expert-led panel discussions, 1-2-1 consultations and hi-tech treatments will be an opportunity for consumers to discover new routes to health and happiness – while allowing them to experience, first-hand, the innovations that can truly make a difference.’
With people punching terms including ‘cryotherapy’, ‘LED light therapy’ and ‘microneedling’ into Google now more than ever – all three are at breakout – the event can’t come at a better time.
‘The wellness industry, even for those who work within it, can feel overwhelming: with countless treatments, therapies and practitioners jostling for attention… This event is our way of cutting through the noise: enabling consumers to discover wellness solutions that work for them as individuals, while helping them to make safe and better-informed decisions,’ shares Ogiermann-White.
Trusted industry experts are at the heart of the event, which is supported by leading brands Galderma, Alma and GetHarley.
British Beauty Council Advisory Board Members Dr Ifeoma Ejikeme, Ross J Barr and Sarah Chapman all feature in the programme which charts aesthetics, menopause management and skin solutions. You can find out more about the agenda here.
With a strong focus on cosmetic surgery, the imminent licensing of aesthetics is not lost on Ogiermann-White, who hopes the event will encourage consumers to seek safer surgery options.
‘We live in an era of misinformation, where anyone can position themselves as an ‘expert’ – and this can have dangerous repercussions for consumers,’ she explains, before saying: ‘By creating a safe space for these conversations to take place, and shining a spotlight on trusted practitioners and brands backed by science, we can help ensure that consumers get better access to responsible and reliable information.’
It’s hoped that, by creating an accessible event for consumers, awareness of the importance of our favourite practitioners will also be recognised: ‘The world of medical aesthetics is often misrepresented – and seldom celebrated for the positive impact that it can have on patients’ quality of life, their self-esteem and longevity.
‘Our aim is to elevate this field of medicine in the eyes of consumers (and) raise awareness of the transformational results that can be achieved in partnership with the right practitioner,’ finishes Ogiermann-White.
The Beauty Triangle Festival is taking place at 180 Strand in Central London. You can buy tickets here.
