L’Oréal Professional Products Division Launch ‘Total Texture’

by | Aug 3, 2021

Own your craft – introducing Total Texture, a new & free L’Oréal Access online training course that supports all professionals to welcome every client & care for every hair need.

The ‘Total Texture’ online course has been created in collaboration with Industry leader and three-time British Hairdressing Afro Hairdresser of the Year winner, and owner of the Hair Lounge, Charlotte Mensah, alongside other renowned hair experts.

All hair has natural texture from coils to curls, to waves and even straight – no head of hair is ever the same. L’Oréal Professional Products Division, including L’Oréal Professionnel Paris, Kérastase, Redken and Matrix, is proud to announce the launch of Total Texture – a series of knowledge-enriching theory tutorials from a range of leading hair pros open to all on L’Oréal Access to help equip and refresh hair professionals on the foundation knowledge required to welcome every client and care for every hair texture.

“If you want to be a great hairdresser it is so important to know how to work with every hair type so that anyone who walks through your door can be welcomed. Understanding the fundamentals of what, why and how texture influences hairdressing techniques is essential,”

Charlotte Mensah

Created in collaboration with renowned texture specialist, Charlotte Mensah, this Total Texture 45-minute introductory online course, comprising 13 short videos, will equip hair professionals with a foundational understanding on how to nourish and nurture hair of all textures. Explaining the science behind why hair texture varies and how it influences different hairdressing skill-sets. The result: renewed confidence in your craft and buoyancy in your bounce. This course will enrich your texture knowledge, empowering you to understand each of your clients’ unique texture needs.

Who is the Total Texture online training suitable for?

All professional hairdressers can benefit from revising and refreshing their texture theory, and Total Texture is the perfect starting place for all newcomers to the industry, stylists looking to expand their skill-set or pre- training before coming to learn with L’Oréal hands-on at one of the L’Oréal Academies across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Total Texture is right for you if you are:

  • Looking to understand the difference between coils, curls, waves and straight hair
  • Wanting to refresh your knowledge
  • Wanting to broaden your curls and coils skills

Launching on L’Oréal Access on Tuesday 3rd August, the online training is both engaging and interactive, and all theory is supported by a variety of hair models from across the coil and curl spectrum. Each tutorial concludes with an expert panel discussion, reinforcing the texture learnings and highlighting the importance of using your texture knowledge in your everyday craft.

Meet The Experts: Total Texture features a range of respected hair experts who share their theory knowledge across different topics…

Total Texture is also just the beginning of the journey; with phase two soon to launch at the beginning of September where hair professionals will be able to get hands on with a full practical Curls and Coils series from L’Oréal Professionnel Paris and a host of inspiring experts.
