AGENDA (source: Cult Beauty)
Session 1: The Great Barrier Relief
“You’ve probably heard of your skin’s barrier function — also known as the acid mantle — but do you know just how important a role it plays in keeping your skin in tip-top health? Joined by Cult Beauty co-founder Alexia Inge, beauty journalist Sali Hughes and more special guests, we’ll discuss techniques and ingredients to boost your skin’s barrier, the importance of going back to basics, and the Holy Grail products to keep skin healthy and nourished.”
Session 2: Breakouts, Acne & Self-Confidence
“As we all become hyper-informed skin care consumers, is our skin actually getting better? Or are we just becoming more paranoid and focused on our imperfections? If you’ve ever struggled with acne or breakouts, you’ll know the challenge they can pose to your self confidence. In this session, our panelists — including skinfluencer Hyram and Confident and Killing It founder Tiwi Ogunlesi — will be discussing how they learnt to embrace their skin in all its beauty, with tips and tricks for soothing breakouts along the way.”
Session 3: Melanated Beauty
“‘Diversity’ remains one of the beauty world’s biggest buzzwords, but has the industry really changed its tune when it comes to catering for all skin tones and types? With the help of industry heavyweights Dorion Renaud, founder of Buttah Skin, and Charlotte Cho, founder of Then I Met You, we’ll shine a light on the skin care brands leading the charge, the revival of ancestral rituals and ingredients, and where the industry can go from here.”
Session 4: The 2022 Beauty Agenda
“How is ‘Health Signaling’ affecting our beauty habits, and where is the wellbeing category headed as consumers increasingly rate how products make them feel as well as how they make them look? What’s next for sustainability and how can we counter greenwashing in beauty? And what brands will have us selling our grannies in order to get on the waitlist in the coming months? In our final panel of the day, Cult Beauty co-founder Alexia Inge will be joined by some very special guests to give you some insider insight into where the beauty industry is headed in 2022.”
