First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced today that from 19th July, Scotland will move to ‘Level 0’.
Nicola Sturgeon said today that “while Scotland will move to level 0 from next Monday, we will do so with certain modifications to our original indicative plans. This is intended to ensure that our pace of easing restrictions is sensible in light of the challenge we continue to face from the Delta variant. And I will confirm that certain mitigations – such as the mandatory wearing of face coverings – will remain in place not just now but, in all likelihood, for some time to come.”
The Scottish Government have set out the vaccine milestones they hope to reach over the summer and, based on those, the path they hope to take out of COVID-19 restrictions and back to greater normality in our day to day lives.
19 July
- the whole of Scotland will move to Level 0
- physical distancing outdoors within a social grouping of 15 people will be removed (but a requirement to maintain 1 metre from all others)Â and physical distancing for indoor public places will reduce to 1 metre
