Compliance can be a head-scratching, time-consuming and tricky, now Ai could be stepping in to solve the challenges
Global Compliance & Regulatory Services (GCRS) has just launched Compliance Right First Time (CRFT) – a brand-new web application designed to simplify and streamline cosmetic product compliance.
Unveiled at in-cosmetics Global, built from scratch over the last two years, the revolutionary new app takes what was originally an 8-9 month journey to get products on the market down to just 5-6 months, reducing compliance to 1-2 weeks.
Moreover, if supplied with the correct documents, the CRFT app can carry out safety assessments that usually take months in just two minutes. It harnesses artificial intelligence (Ai) to pull through verified data from documents to streamline checks – these verifications are then backed by human peer reviews.
Featuring a searchable database of over 30,000 ingredients, pre-built templates for over 400 product categories, and more, the app offers unparalleled opportunities for suppliers and manufacturers to streamline their compliance processes.
What’s more, the platform uses Ai to write substantiation, toxicological data, and toxicological reviews, something that brands and businesses can often find challenging to compile.
As well as increasing the amount of compliance across industry, thanks to ease, the app has the power to save businesses a significant amount of money by reducing administrative costs. GCRS’ Managing Director, Rajat Narang, said:
‘This will save companies a lot of money as every single document and product info is saved in the system. Second, it will make a lot of companies more compliant than they are now – that’s the true focus of this, safety is priority, traceability is there and everything is in one place so when you need to submit your documents to the government or customs, you can send it to them in the next minute.’
Compliance regulations are vastly different around the world, and the app knows it. Narang goes on to explain that the platform uses tech to verify Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and animal testing certification, product specification information from the UK and Europe, to Canada, Australia and Asia.
In the future, the app will send this information over to customs officials on behalf of businesses, saving them time, money, and even storage space since with the app paper documents are not necessary.
With almost 20 years experience in the cosmetics regulation industry, GCRS are undoubtedly changing the game when it comes to business efficiency and compliance.
Currently, the platform is offered on an invitation only basis. To read more about the app click here, and to learn more about cosmetics regulations click here.
