The British Hairdressing Awards 2025 took place last night at London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House. The ceremony, hosted by broadcaster and presenter Rylan Clark, welcomed more than 1,500 industry leaders, professionals and distinguished guests.
The event delivered an evening of exceptional artistry and celebration, with a programme featuring standout creative showcases and notable live performances. The Schwarzkopf Professional Catwalk Show, accompanied by the vocals of Beth Ditto, provided a dynamic opening, followed by a performance from Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud.
This year’s ceremony also marked a significant moment for the industry, as attendees paid tribute to Jayne Lewis-Orr, Executive Director of Hairdressers Journal International. After more than three decades of dedicated service and leadership, Jayne’s contribution to the growth and international reputation of British hairdressing was formally recognised with a standing ovation.
The most prestigious accolade of the evening, British Hairdresser of the Year, was awarded to Efi Davies, International Artistic Director at Toni&Guy. Efi’s career began 25 years ago, joining Toni&Guy as an assistant, she was quickly mentored by founder Toni Mascolo and went on to build an acclaimed career that reflects the creativity, skill and ambition at the heart of the British hairdressing industry.
