Returning to London’s Park Lane on Monday, the British Hairdressing Awards spotlighted Britain’s leading hair stylists and teams
Over the past four decades, HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards have been a leading accolade for hairdressers, with previous winners including the late Trevor Sorbie MBE, Charles Worthington, John Frieda and Umberto Giannini.
This year, it was Cos Sakkas, Creative Director and Head of Education of TONI&GUY, who took home the prestigious British Hairdresser of the Year. This is the third time the stylist has taken home the top spot.
On his win, Jayne Lewis Orr, Executive Director of HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards said: ‘The prestige of securing this title for the third time in a row cannot be overstated. Cos is such a deserving winner and a great representative for British hairdressing in all he does.’
Across 19 categories, stylists from across the UK were recognised for their cutting edge talent. Specialisms were also rewarded with categories including ‘Newcomer of the Year’
and ‘Avant-Garde Hairdresser of the Year’. What’s more, Lisa Farrall – British Beauty Council Hair Committee member – winning Afro Hairdresser of the Year.
