Six renowned beauty experts will join Bobbi Brown, the Council’s first US Ambassador, to raise awareness of the British Beauty Council’s work globally

Since its founding in 2018, the British Beauty Council has worked closely with its Advisory Board, Patrons and affiliates to take beauty to the next level. Now the organisation is appointing seven Ambassadors in light of their global influence, to increase engagement with the Council’s work on an international scale.

The appointment of the Council’s first US Ambassador is an integral part of this strategy. Bobbi Brown, acclaimed make-up artist and founder of Jones Road, will join the Council and harness her unique industry insights to ‘support and grow brands and beauty experts (she) believes in’.

On her new role, she says: ‘I’m excited to work with Millie and the team at the Council to see how this role can make a difference to the British Beauty industry on a global scale. Plus, I am a total anglophile – I love the cool aesthetic of British design and British beauty so this is set to be a really exciting partnership.’

The British Beauty Council Ambassadors are: Sam McKnight MBE, Mary Greenwell, Dr Ateh Jewel, Marcia Kilgore, Kathy Phillips, and Caroline Hirons.

‘Having been an Advisory Board member since 2018, I am delighted to have the opportunity to become one of the first British Beauty Council Ambassadors and to take on this increased responsibility,’ said Caroline Hirons, on her new role. ‘I will continue to work with the organisation to establish and maintain beauty industry standards and positioning across the UK and overseas. The beauty industry is one of the most dynamic, inclusive and profitable in the world and I look forward to working with the Council to showcase and elevate every facet it has to offer.’

The new cohort of Ambassadors was revealed at the British Beauty Council’s unveiling of its new Value of Beauty 2023.
