British Beauty Festival 2026, held in Shanghai in partnership with the Department for Business & Trade and Chrysalis Beauty, showcased the best of British beauty to Chinese consumers and industry leaders. The 2nd annual Great British Beauty Clean Up with over XX brands taking part to promote sustainable practices and consumer behaviour. The British Beauty Council collaborated with MYGroup to launch a takeback scheme for hard-to-recycle items, such as used hair foils and makeup compacts.
SIC Codes Update

First identifying the need for SIC code updates to segment the hair, beauty and spa sectors in 2018, followed by 8 years of lobbying by The British Beauty Council, the Government announced the recommended changes in the UK, with international changes made in 2025.
