Why your lipstick is saving Britain!

by | Feb 6, 2019

British Beauty Council had its week made by this story in Stella Magazine at the weekend.

The opening pitch says it all really – that despite being as valuable to the British economy as the car industry, beauty is seen as “fashion’s fluffier sister”.

Well, obviously that couldn’t be allowed to continue, so alongside our day jobs a group of us got together and did something about it. And let’s just say that without the support of our Founding Patrons, Advisory Council, encouraging members of the press, beauty companies, experts, and our awesome followers, getting British Beauty Council off the ground – to represent and give a voice to everyone who works in the UK beauty business – would have been that much more challenging.

Thank you all. And for this weekend, especially, thank you to beauty editor Sonia Haria, Stella editor Marianne Jones and The Telegraph.
