Last week the British Beauty Council was lucky enough to be invited back stage at the Mark Fast AW20 fashion show where we saw the come back of the late swinging sixties hair style (with a modern twist). Working with Mark Fast and leading the TIGI Session Team was the talented Maria Kovacs, TIGI European Session Director.
Of the look, Maria Kovacs, TIGI European Session Director said…
I always love to hear Mark’s inspiration for the look as it helps us to create the perfect
collaboration. This session he referenced Francoise Hardy, the late swinging sixties in London and its powerful style. He wanted the girls and guys to have a youthful, luxe look, with hair looking polished yet not overdone…We focused on creating volume and movement in a perfect yet imperfect way, to create a fresh, cool twist. “
GET THE LOOK:
Step 1: Apply TIGI Bed Head Superstar Queen For A Day to dry hair section by section, from roots to ends. Then blow dry the hair back away from the face.
Step 2: Starting from the front hairline, use a large big barrel tong and set the hair in large sections
away from the face at the front hair line, horizontally through the back. Spray each section with TIGI Copyright Maximum Hold Hairspray to lock in the technique.
Step 3: When the hair has cooled, brush away from the face with a maisonette brush.
Step 4: Starting from the bottom, backcomb each section at the roots, working your way towards
the hairline. Spray hair with TIGI Copyright Volume Lift Styling Spray and brush into desired shape.
Step 5: When you are happy with the shape, secure in the headband and finish with TIGI Bed Head Full of It Volume Finishing Spray.
