While new technology has provided an incredible launch pad for many new beauty businesses, the notion that building a brand from scratch is any easier than it was a decade ago is far from the case. Ask anyone who has done it and they will tell you that the same obstacles – like minimum orders, cash flow management and inflexible production – still need to be navigated.

Beauty Bulb is further evidence of the real creativity of thought in our business, and was launched by Faye Speedie, Tangle Teezer and QVC alumni, to service companies looking for expertise at different stages of their maturity.
She felt there was a need for a more rounded and flexible approach to supporting businesses in growth. “Often during consultancy projects that were focused around global sales growth, I was asked to help with the search for new team members – beauty brands were reaching out to me to recommend contacts in pretty much every area I can think of. So I decided to put all of this support under one umbrella to help brands build the strongest bases while saving them time and cost”.
This is exactly the kind of brainwave that will push the next generation of brands onto the world stage and as such it’s a much-needed guardian angel for beauty entrepreneurs.
