E-commerce steals the spotlight on premium beauty sales

British Beauty Council has been catching up on the latest UK beauty shopping habits via a collaborative report by Kantar Worldpanel and IRI Worldwide which is published on the CTPA site.

The industry’s total retail sales price has slightly dipped since 2016 as our shopping habits have changed – we are spending more on toiletries in bargain shops and the internet is taking more of a slice of premium purchases. The report discusses how the business can fight back to boost sales on the high street against a background of uncertainty over Brexit and the rise of e-tail giants.
