Body Details : The Future

by | Jan 9, 2019

Some body detail developments to take note of:

While RECESS is transforming the art of the speedy water-free wash with a line of biodegradable body wipes that perform as highly in a wipe-and-go situation as your at-home body care routine, new trends in body decoration have emerged for 2019.

The work of NYC tattoo artist Joice Wang has started a demand for X-ray tattoos, with coloured imagery overlaying a monochrome background design to deliver a 3D effect.

Celebrities like Post Malone have inspired a revival of wire tattoos, popular in the late 1990’s and 2000’s.

There’s a surge of requests for Disney characters too following work by Brit tattoo artist Jordan Baker, sticker style tattoos, which feature a white standout background, and a revival of the traditional gory tattoo (blood and cuts).

The biggest tattoo trend by far though is mixed media tattoos, a mix of styles on one piece to create one graphic design as perfected by Dave Paulo tattoo artist.
